The embroidery is based on a sketch of Citrus striatus by Johann Napp – a talented botanist specializing in the study of fruit and berry plant varieties.
What’s included in the kit:
• A piece of linen with the sketch printed on it. You don’t need to transfer the pattern onto the fabric and can start embroidering right away.
• Thread for attaching embellishments.
• White floss made of 100% silk from Au Ver a Soie. This floss is from a French company with a rich history. It is strong and has a noble sheen.
• Tulle, 2 shades.
• Cotton floss Anchor, 5 shades.
• Red silk thread Sumiko.
• Faceted Rondelle beads, 2 shades.
• A piece of natural silk velvet.
• A piece of tweed.
• Italian sequins, 4 mm.
• TOHO beads No. 15, with various coatings (matte, transparent iridescent, opaque).
• Beading needle and ultra-fine needle for vintage bugle beads.
• Archival gold bugle beads imported from an embroidery shop in Bologna.
• Prym glue for finishing leaf edges.
• Illustration of the citron for your reference.
• PDF file with instructions, patterns, photos of the finished work, and a link to video material (macro shots of all techniques used).
