The embroidery is based on an illustration by Pierre-Joseph Redouté from the album «The Most Beautiful Flowers». Pierre-Joseph Redouté was a French botanist and artist of the 18th-19th centuries. One of his most famous albums, «Lilies», was created for Empress Josephine, whose garden he worked on for a long time.
What is included in the kit.
• A piece of striped silk (pink with white stripes); striped linen (gray-beige with white stripes) or solid beige linen. The silk is thin and delicate but comfortable to work with and not fussy. Linen has more texture.
