The embroidery is based on the illustration «Amygdalus communis almond» by the English artist Mary Delany, known for her botanical paper mosaics. She created flower illustrations on a black background using tissue paper. Delany’s collection of nearly a thousand exquisite works is housed in the British Museum.

• A piece of black linen with silk, printed with the sketch. You don’t need to transfer the pattern onto the fabric and can start embroidering right away.
